Founded in Homestead, Pennsylvania, as a semi pro team of steelworkers, the Grays quickly outgrew the small town. The would ultimately split time between neighboring Pittsburgh and Washington, DC to accommodate the large crowds during their fifty years of existence as one of the most popular and successful clubs in the Negro Leagues. Powered by all-time greats like Cool Papa Bell and Josh Gibson, the club won 11 League Titles and three Negro World Series.
